Spitsbergen – 10 Days of Arctic Silence and Storms

On May 1st, we kicked off our expedition with snowmobiles, covering 70 km to reach one of Spitsbergen’s largest glaciers.
That night, the Arctic reminded us who’s in charge—a sudden storm buried everything: tents, gear, and even beards in snow.
For two days we held out in a white camp, snow everywhere. Then, the skies cleared and the sun took over—24 hours a day, no more night.
The landscape turned surreal under constant daylight, and luckily, we didn’t see any polar bears (or rather, they didn’t find us).
Our routes are always planned to stay far from known polar bear zones, but we stay alert—always.
After covering more than 100 km on skis, we wrapped up the 10-day journey exhausted, sun-kissed, and smiling from ear to ear.
And of course, the next Arctic adventures are already being dreamed up.
